Positions cost strokes.

Strokes cost money.

The greater the variances in a golf swing and stroke the greater the shot loss. One variance equals one stroke, 3 variances equals 3 strokes.

If a player has a 30 degree variance in 1 position it will cost them 3 strokes. It is why players play well and then do not.

Junior Scoring

Par 4’s

Driver - 6I or less,

Par 5’s

Driver - Iron - Wedge,

Par 3’s

5 Iron or less.


If junior golfers cannot reach greens in regulation their par is not 72.

Add a stroke for every hole a player cannot reach in regulation in 1 on a par 3, 2 on a par 4 and 3 shots on a par

Play the golf course yardage you can reach in regulation with no more than a driver pw if you are comparing your skill level to professionals.

Amateur Scoring

When players par 4 green in regulation is played with driver wedge par 4 scoring average is no longer 2.0

If you cannot reach the greens in regulation your par is not 72.
