Muscle Memory

 Muscle Memory

There are positive, negative, mental and physical muscle memory.

When what you think you are doing is not what you are doing will determine how much muscle memory is needed to lose or change.

Muscle memory is determined by time.

There is mental and physical muscle memory.

What players think they are doing must match what they are doing.

Positive muscle memory is fundamentally correct positions parts and actions producing zero degree flights and rolls without paying attention or manipulation.

Negative muscle memory is fundamental positions, parts and actions that do not produce straight ball flights and rolls without manipulation or attention.

Junior golfers should build positive muscle memory as early as possible.

When building positive muscle memory in fundamentally correct swing positions filming will be required from face on and down the line positions to confirm correct positions.

It is better to lose incorrect positions and information than to correct it.
